The Teacher’s Pet (a.k.a. guinea pig)

Hmmm, I know exactly what I’m going to do,

My student is going to learn to tie his shoe.

He’ll be my very first gym shoe creeper,

I’ll make sure in class he’ll never be a sleeper.

Never will he have time to get any rest,

Need to keep him busy to become the very best.

I need to always occupy that beady little mind,

Otherwise, mischief will creep in, and you, it will surely find.

Never will you get any breaks,

Wherever you go, you’ll see my loving face.

Even when I’m not around,

You’ll always hear a familiar sound.

Everywhere you go, you’ll hear the very same voice,

The voice says, “I’m gonna get you”, (but you have a choice).

But I already know, you’ll eventually give in,

And that will be, “the very first sin”.

That’s okay, because I’ll never let you go,

Together forever, “The Never-Ending Show”.
